Making the decision to end your beloved cat or dog’s pain is an emotionally stressful time. Home euthanasia is offered when your pet is sick or ailing and you want their last moments to be as peaceful and as free of pain as possible.

To help your pet have a peaceful passing, consider in-home cat euthanasia or in-home dog euthanasia. Your pet will be able to pass in their home, surrounded by their loved ones. If you are located in Pembroke, MA, Plymouth, MA, or the surrounding towns, please reach out to Paws to Rest for more information about cat and dog home euthanasia.

Our In-Home Euthanasia Process

Our services include three different options for euthanasia.

1. Euthanasia with a home visit. Dr. Calabria, an empathetic veterinarian, will visit your home, taking the time to explain the euthanasia process to you in detail. Next, your pet will be provided with sedation before the euthanasia process. You may either keep your pet’s body for burial or transport them to a pet cremation facility. This option does not include cremation.

2. Euthanasia with a communal cremation. Dr. Calabria will provide a home consultation, sedation, and euthanasia. Dr. Calabria will prepare your pet’s body for transport to a licensed crematory for group cremation. Your pet’s ashes will be scattered at Angel View Pet Cemetery in Middleboro, MA. No ashes are returned with this option.

3. Euthanasia with a private cremation. Dr. Calabria will provide a home consultation, sedation, and euthanasia. We will arrange transport to Final Gift Pet Memorial Center for a private cremation. Your pet’s cremains will be returned to your local veterinarian or your home along with an engraved urn of your choice and a clay paw print within 1-2 weeks.

Each option is gently and carefully provided to put you and your pet at ease during this difficult time.

Our Empathetic Understanding

Dr. Calabria, a fellow pet owner of a cat and a dog, deeply empathizes with you. She understands the pain you feel after losing a pet and will kindly and lovingly take your pet through the euthanasia process. By providing in-home euthanasia, Dr. Calabria ensures that your pet will not have to experience the stress of traveling to a different location in their last moments.
